Giving Opportunities
THANK YOU! Many of you have been a part of making our three and a half years of service in South Africa possible, in your friendship, giving, and prayer. For that, we (and many friends in South Africa) are very grateful! If you want to stay connected with ESSA or others you’ve heard about there from us, please let us know.
We are putting Chrissy’s initial payment for the book and some other freelance writing and photography income toward this sabbatical/travel/speaking period. And several regular donors have agreed to continue supporting us through this time. We also presume that starting in the second half of this year Adam will be in a job that requires raising a portion of his salary.
If you can give something now, fantastic! Since we are between organizations right now, you can PayPal it to us directly at acjeske@gmail.com or mail a check to us at N7770 Kettle Moraine Dr., Whitewater, WI53190. Gifts are not currently deductible, but will be later this year once we are set-up with another organization. Please let us know if, what, and when you plan to give.
We also recommend considering giving toward the seminary we work at, or toward supporting a student there. You can read more about The Evangelical Seminary of Southern Africa (ESSA) and see stories of individual students in financial need at the seminary website, www.essa.ac.za.
We are grateful for gifts received in the past for specific projects. We have been blessed to direct money toward college and seminary tuitions, building a home for a caregiver for orphans, and toward rebuilding a primary school, Glen Isla (see photo). School donations went toward a library, photocopier, carpet, tables, chairs, a TV/DVD player, and an electric generator. After years of phone calls and pressure, The South Africa Department of Education has also agreed to do major renovations on the school, a great victory for everyone involved through prayers, finances, and more!
