Adam
|
| Chrissy writes a biweekly column for the Oshkosh Northwestern (daily circulation: 25,000) about living in South Africa. She also writes for her neighborhood’s newspaper. Her work also has been published or is about to appear in The Gardener, MOMSense, The Lookout, BGC World, Adventure Motorcycle, On Mission, and Relevant. She keeps writing high-quality passages from her smart, deep heart. |
Adam’s words and images have appeared or will appear in Adventure Motorcycle, Backroads, BikeSA, Camera&Image, The Citizen, Dirt&Quad, Dreams, Enduro World, Farmer’s Weekly, The Gardener, MOMSense, Motorcycle Sport & Leisure, Motorcycles: On the Road Again, The Oshkosh Northwestern, Overland Journal, Pix, Relevant, Superbike (South Africa), TopBike, and WebBikeWorld.com. He likes motorcycling, of course, but also finds ways to say things that need to be said. |
| Craving
Pure Spiritual Milk |
| Two sample chapters of a book of spiritual
reflections specifically on the wonders and challenges
of life as a mom. Contact me for complete manuscript. |
Like newborn babes, crave pure spiritual
milk.
-1 Peter 2:2
A newborn needs milk eight to twelve times a day.
How often does a new mother need spiritual nourishment?
Throughout her daily activities of rocking, feeding, calming and entertaining
her newborn, a mother’s heart cries out for more. She hungers for
a time to pray, to laugh, to understand. Amazingly, God has placed in newborns
infinite reminders of Him, reminders that are the very nourishment a mother
needs, if she will only stop to receive. The title of this book, based
on 1 Peter 2:2, describes the deepest need in young mothers: they crave
God, and yet they need to receive him in pure, easily digestible, optimally
nourishing form. |
| "Ezekiel's
Tears" |
| A story, not about my son Ezekiel, as
you might expect, but retelling a portion of the Bible’s
book of Ezekiel, through the eyes of a bystander. |
| Abstract coming. |
| "Missions
Sucks" |
| An essay on the reality of life as a follower
of Christ. |
| So you want to be a missionary?
You want to pray for a missionary? You want to live like
a missionary in your own neighborhood? I’ve got
